Buchireddipalem or Buchi Reddy Palem is one of the biggest towns of the Nellore district of India. Located 15 km fromNellore city, it is located on the state highway connecting Nellore and Bombay. The nearest railway station is Nellore, the nearest sea port is Krishna Patnam and the nearest airport is Renigunta. It is well covered by cellular networks and there are six movie theatres. The population of Buchireddypalem is around 30 thousand, the residents being employed in both agriculture and business. Aquaculture, rice paddy and sugarcane are among the agricultural practices found there.

• Dodla Rukminamma who lost her pilot son in the world war II, had organised a meeting and collected donations for the freedom struggle handed over the same to Mahatma Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi when he visited this place

• The famous Jonnawada Kamakshi temple is located near Buchireddipalem.

• The Sri Kodanda RamaSwamy temple was built by the Dodla family in 1784 A.D., is also a notable feature of Buchireddipalem.On every Pournami (Full moon) day Annadanam is held in this temple by Sri Kodandarama Swamy Charitable Trust since early 2002. Annual Bramhotsavams held starting from Ram Navami day are a major festivities for this town. Sita Ramula kalyanam on the Chaturdasi day is a major draw among the women devotees who attend in large numbers. Rathotsavam held on the Pournami day attracts huge crowds pulling the Temple Car (Ratham) amidst chants of 'Jai Sriram'in its designated route back to its starting point. Float Festival (Teppotsavam) held on the same day evening is a treat to the eye.

• Mr. Bezawada Gopala Reddy, former chief Minister of AP & Governor of Uttar Pradesh, belongs to Buchireddipalem. His famous political rival

sri Bezawada Ramachandra Reddy, one of the founders of Swatantra Party hails from the same town

• The big D.L.N.R High School is located in Buchireddipalem, M. Venkaiah Naidu the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party from 2002 to 2004 studied in the DLNR ZP High School, similarly present MP of Nellore Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy is also a old student of this school

• Bezawada Papi Reddy, son of B. Ramachandra Reddy who had the unique distinction of being a member of all the legislature bodies namely AP Legislative council, AP Legislative Assembly, Rajya Sabha and Loksabha is from the same town

• International Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) was constructed in 2007 by Dr. Kulkarni, MD (Ayu), presently settled in UK. In 2008 Dr. Sampradhayam, MD from UK inaugurated the IIIM. Dr. Kulkarni provides free medical services for poor in the Institute. In January 2010 Dr. Kulkarni and team of doctors and students from UK and local medical doctors provided free medical camp and distribution of medicines provided to about 1500 patients in near 30 beds Hospital.
